What's Happening in the Community

RolandPark.org is always looking for pictures of community events and activities to feature on our web site. Baseball games, pool fun, parades, Halloween costumes, nature studies — you name it, we would like to see it for possible use on the site.

E-mail your photo to rpcommunication@rolandpark.org. We prefer JPEGs of no more than 600k.

Independence Day 2011

The annual Roland Park Fourth of July Parade is a perennial favorite for Parkers young and old. The annual Roland Park July 4 parade was a true group effort this year, with many kind neighbors and friends of the community pitching in to make it fun and safe for all. Special thanks to Cindy D’Angelo and the members of the Roland Park Presbyterian Church for opening their grounds and doors to parade-goers, helping with set up and tear down, and providing noisemakers and bubbles for all the kids. A round of applause also to our fantastic Roland Park firefighters , the singers of Out Too Late and to everyone who contributed to the effort, including Dorothy Baker, Andy Brooks, Kate Culotta, Mike DiPietro, Chris McSherry, master of ceremonies Doug Munro, Davis Shingleton, Anne Stuzin and the Roland Park Civic League. We also thank our elected representatives who participated in the ceremonies: Delegate Sandy Rosenberg, Coucil President Jack Young, and Councilwoman Mary Pat Clarke.
