Hi, I have this message on the dashboard "Exhaust filter at limit, drive to clean", on my car Ford Focus ST-Line 2018, petrol, I searched online and it said that if I drive for 20-30 minutes, should be gone, which it did, but the problem is that after a week popped out again. And I noticed that appears on the dashboard.. I have encountered 3 "Drive to clean" messages. The third was a couple days ago. Here is what all three had in common. Each message came up when the truck was just ready to begin a regen and I stopped. When I restarted, the message changed to "Cleaning exhaust filter" That message stayed on through out the cleaning.

It now has 74k. While driving back to Austin from Houston today the check engine light came on and the warning Exhaust Filter Over Limit Service Now came on. The truck got a bit sluggish so I drove it for another 5 miles and found a place to pull over. I shut it off for a while and researched the warning on my phone and learned that the warning.. So i planned a highway trip of 60 miles to clean this DPF and after 17 miles of highway driving at 65mph.Finally i got the message ( Exhaust Cleaning Complete) wow that was a long time all week. Now this will be a daily driver and these cleaning cycles should be shorter. 2012 F350 CCSB Lariat 6.7.
